Enter the Dragon
Bruce Lee
brings much more to the film than just finely crafted action though, and that's the belief in him and his martial art philosophies which he delivers on screen to great effect. Really it's just Lee being Lee, a larger than life character ...

Released shortly after his untimely death in 1973 Enter the Dragon is rather ironically the film that would solidify Bruce Lee as an international star, one whose small body of work on the silver screen would forever be immortalised and has naturally seen numerous releases on the DVD format.

An insider's guide to the Asian Games
What's it all about?

(CNN) -- The 15th Asian Games is taking place in Doha, the capital city of the small Arabian state of Qatar. The cream of the continent's athletes are in the oil-rich nation for the two-week extravaganza. The Briefing Room brings you some facts and figures about an event dubbed the "Asian Olympics."

Brian Bateman
Mastering art of martial arts

Brian Bateman played soccer and wrestled when he attended Gates Chili High School. Those sports were great, he said — until he got hooked on martial arts. "It was exposure through TV," said Bateman, 39. "It was the Bruce Lee thing, and some Jet Li. In the '80s, there were movies all over the place, like The Karate Kid."
wpe4.jpg (7389 bytes) Since then, Bateman has studied kung fu with a master in Hong Kong and opened his own school, the Rochester Shaolin Kung Fu Training Academy, at 425 Stone Road. Bateman is a Sifu, which roughly means "head of the family;" his official title is chief instructor.

Experiencing Korean art of self-defense

Master An with journalists and taekwondo students.

'Taekwondo' truly represents an art of self-defense that is all and uniquely Korean. A visit to Korea without experiencing the art of Taekwondo for oneself is incomplete. Four journalists from the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam including the writer had the opportunity to experience for themselves the basic techniques of Taekwondo in its true form during their recent visit to Seoul. They were introduced to a master of the sport - Master Ryan An - at his academy in Seoul.

Master Ryan An has mastered Taekwondo for a number of years and his love for the sport has encouraged him and his wife to establish their own Taekwondo academy where they teach young children as well as foreign visitors to experience the martial art for themselves.

The veteran action star says on his Web site that he reinjured his chest while filming a fight scene for the movie "Rush Hour 3," but doctors said it wasn't a major injury. WHAT HAPPENED: Chan said he was hit by a steel-reinforced wooden table. The Web posting was dated Nov. 27. Chan said he tried to work through the pain, wearing a stunt belt across his upper chest and taking medication, but the movie's producers eventually sent him to a doctor. An X-ray cleared him of broken bones or organ injury, he said.
